We have joined up with PECT, to seek the highest form of business and environmental accreditation that PECT offers. It is similar to Investors in People and IS0 9000, that are recognised company accreditations but aimed more at small companies like us.

We are planning the Launch of By the Winter Sea, our period drama based on World War 2 accounts in Lincolnshire. Woking with our partners, Lincolnshire County Council, we will have launch events in Lincoln and the coast.

We are working with Gainsborough Old Hall to develop a medieval short documentary to coincide with the restoration work.

22.10.11 Heritage WW2 drama
We are working with the coastal and heritage teams at the county council to make a short film that is an authentic and dramatic telling of the life of the land girls and the home guard in WW2.

We are now taking charge of a monthly column in the Lincolnshire Echo, bringing together environmentalist news and events and discussing the relevant topics of the day.

We just finished an intense week working with local farmers, communities and businesses to produce a food production documentary. This is the first step in our wider aim to support Lincolnshire agriculture.

We have secured the funds to allow us to make a victorian period drama. This film was conceived of and written by our young 3rd unit and they will take a key role in working with the 1st unit to realise it.

Well, the humans trailer was just the most fulfilling experience we have had so far... Shooting on a Red Epic, that Pirates 4:on Stranger Tides was shot on. World War II, horror make up... guns, blanks, slow mo... all good. it'll be finished in July.

31.01.11 Bird Box II
This weekend, we are giving away a second batch of bird boxes through the Lincolnshire Echo, but this time, it also includes 20 Kg of bird feed and and bird feeders. Further, we have developed a relationship with the Lincolnshire Bird Club to engage the public to offer information on urban and rural bird populations and activity towards their renowned annual bird report.

24.01.11 Goodie score and trailer
The score and trailer for Goodie are almost done. In Denmark, we've been recording the score for Goodie with a small orchestra and a choir. The score is so huge and Jesper Hansen, the composer has done a magnificent job.

24.01.11 'Humans' connection
Phil has been busy, building amazing connections with viking author Giles Christian and the production company behind the Warhammer 40K film. Both links are going to mean that our second feature proposal (besides 'Threads'), a dark comedy called 'Humans' is in a very fit state.

16.01.11 University collaboration for animal/ASD research
Partnering with both the Media and Biological Sciences departments, we are embarking on a year long project to turn their PAWS research into a documentary aimed at television.

PAWS looks at introducing dogs into families where there is a child with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

07.11.10 Royal Television Society Award for our Creative Director
Phil Stevens, our creative director, won the Best Fiction regional award last thursday, for his short film Greasepaint. This is the latest significant award for Phil, and for another of his shorts.

06.11.10 Big Society ident for Media Trust
In partnership with the Lincolnshire Community Foundation, we have made an ident for an acclaimed flagship Big Society project showing to ministers and national media bodies at the Barbican.

We have been approached to make a film for Lincoln's branch of Barnardo's. We'll help them profile their work across the county.

10.09.10 Animal welfare efforts
We have begun to explore a fruitful collaboration with Riseholme Campus, the home of the large scale animal welfare unit at Lincoln university where we are exploring two documentary ideas detailing research they are doing as well as natural history.

10.09.10 Goodie premier
The premier for our large scale short, 'Goodie' (though we are considering a name change) will be in late March 2011 at the Lincoln Odeon. When we are closer, we'll announce through the echo and other partners. We'll be having a party, including attendance by nationally renowned Street entertainers, Shrugladies...

We have had an amazing experience filming Goodie on our fully professional set, visited by the Echo, our patrons, adored by the professional emergency service extras we hired and with a wonderful creative and generous atmosphere. Now, we are editing and gearing up for an October showing

29.07.10 Moving to Sparkhouse
We've been doing well enough that we have started to hire staff and will move into new premises. That looks to be Sparkhouse Studios at the University. We'll be there in the next Month or so.

Been quiet as we have been marshalling our forces of a 60 piece orchestra, a 20 strong crew and a 15 strong cast for 'Goodie', our most ambitious piece yet that shoots from next week.

Our project with the Order of St John's Trust care is almost over now the DVD is edited. Just getting the cover ready and it's off to the county, the participants and partners.

Helen has accepted the role of Boston in Goodie, just in time to meet the team at our first full team production meeting on 23rd May.

24.04.10 'Goodie' set for late summer shoot
'Goodie', a short with visual effects, set building, stunts, super heroes, a 60 piece orchestra is going all guns blazing and will shoot in the late summer. We have an amazing team of real production designers, producers, cinematographers, actors and musician.

15.04.10 Support from LCC confirmed
We have just been awarded a revenue grant from the Lincolnshire County Council that means we can roll out our programme of work for the community. About 10 groups this year will benefit from cheap film making and, in turn, they will raise money for their own activities and increase awareness for what they do.

Washougal international film festival has accepted Fairytale. That makes 10 festivals accepting the film of the 20 responses we have had.

Two new festival successes - Loch Ness festival in Inverness has agreed to show Fairytale, as has Stamford Children's film festival.

18.01.10 Free surgery - Monday, 29th March
RDPC is going to offer all the third sector across Lincolnshire the chance to get free advice and support for film projects at the Lincolnshire Community Foundation offices.

03.12.09 Partnership with Broadway Cinema, Notts
The Broadway in Nottingham is the centre of film making in the East Midlands. They work closely with EM Media and are currently in post production for their first feature. Having seen RDPC shorts this year and the feature scripts we have in development, they are keen to work with us to realise the ambition of making 'Threads'.

12.11.09 Shown to applause
Fairytale was shown at Lincoln Drill Hall and was wonderfully received. That's the kind of warmth reflected that we hope Fairytale had in abundance.

24.09.09 RDPC in the echo
Today, 23rd September, the Lincolnshire Echo did a piece on us about the films we are showing at the Drill Hall.

03.09.09 Drill Hall showings
Both of the two shorts we have made this summer are going shown by the Lincoln Drill hall as art of this autumn's film season. Tickets are available from the Drill Hall box office.

Crossing will be shown on 28th September, just before Pride and Prejudice.

Fairytale will be shown on 9th November, just before Atonement.

03.08.09 Crossing shoot starts tomorrow
'Crossing', the first of two short films made by the RDPC, starts shooting at Ashby Hall. It is directed and written by Phil Stevens, new member of the company.

13.06.09 Funding for 'War' confirmed
We have obtained the funding, crew, cast and location to make our first feature film. 'War' will be shot in the summer of 2010.

It's the story of a feud between two families and , as planned, will use only local talent and resources.

11.06.09 Skillset success
To be able to attend some well respected training on low budget film making and exhibition, run by the Raindance film festival, we have been offered a screen bursary by Skillset. The training takes place next week and it's the start of our relationship with Skillset.

27.05.09 RDPC at Lincolnshire Show
The film commissioned by the Lincolnshire Community Foundation will be shown at the Lincolnshire Show. The film is being shot now and will be shown on June 24th 2009.

27.05.09 Hillholt Wood and LCF short
The Lincolnshire Community Foundation has asked RDPC to make a publicity short and develop a media strategy for a revolutionary project aimed at increasing funds in the county for community, environmental and voluntary sector projects.

The film is being shot now and will be shown at the Lincolnshire Show on June 24th 2009.

19.05.09 Hillholt partnership
Red Dog has begun a partnership with Hillholt Wood, an award winning charity based in a forest on the A46.

Their series of educational and environmental projects are inspirational. We are working with them in the capacity of a media partner.

09.04.09 G4A funding approved
Red Dog has had further funding made available for their work with care homes in Lincoln. This time through Grants for the Arts via the Arts Council. Now we are going to gear up for a combined project start in late summer 09.

29.03.09 Sam does Lincoln 10K
For Cancer Research, in an old friend's memory, I did the Lincoln 10K... well... more of a stumble and stagger. Since being diagnosed with MS, I have taken any opportunity to push my boundaries.

In this case, I need to thank my wife, Ava, who kept me going when I fell, begged and faltered.

More good news for Red Dog community projects as we are offered a small grant to investigate a new community project through the PIP fund at the county council.

We have been successful in obtaining funding from Help the Aged for a project with residents of the Order of St John's care homes.

We have been invested in by Un Ltd, a group that supports entrepreneurs with lofty aims and a social adenda. We are grateful for the support they showed us.

04.02.09 Delay for Threads
Sad as we are to say it, but we are going to have to delay shooting "Threads" for at least a year so we can focus on development, seeking out talent to attach and exploring distribution. It is a shame but we'd rather do it right and later than badly and soon.

08.01.09 New crew for Threads
Loads more cast and crew members on board... BBC Cinematographer has generously come on board, as Director of Photography, and he brings with him excellent links into Industry. Also, Amy Nicholson has joined as Production Designer. That means that each department is being run by an industry professional.

08.01.09 Arri helps with Threads
Exciting news as we have, through our links with the University and Brian Hall, have access to an excellent support network devised by Brian and Arri Cameras, the international feature film and TV equipment and crew suppliers. This means good news for our wider ambition to seed a growing film and Tv industry as there are now several teams fighting for this goal.

14.12.08 Red Dog projects
It's time for an update on the community projects we are running through Red Dog.

Currently, we have strong indictions we shall get funding from Un Ltd for local media skills development, Help the Aged for a drama project will the elderly and we have made a short film with young people for Positive Activities for Young People. We are waiting on Awards for All, NKArts, Sports Relief and First Light Movies.

20.11.08 Help the Aged joins Red Dog committee
Jean Cross, the regional developer for Help the Aged has joined Red Dog's committee. This is very exciting and offers us her excellent support not only for projects but also her skills as a leader. We feel she shares a philosophical and ethical point of view with us and we thank her for choosing to support us.

09.10.08 Threads update
It seemed prudent to update the site with where we are in developing 'Threads'...

We have around 70% cast and crew, 80% locations, 65% budget and 40% of the script. The script needs finishing and polishing but we want to collect our chess pieces and then write to their strengths. We plan to have a polished draft script by December.

EM Media are willing to have talks with us about supporting 'Threads'. We are early in talks but indications are good.

We are waiting for the script to be complete so we can start approaching 'named' actors for inclusion.

Andy McKay, a successful film maker and course director for the Lincoln University Media Department has joined as Executive Producer.

Rudi Arapahoe is looking to join to take care of sound design. He worked on 'Life on Mars' and 'Spooks'.

28.07.08 Red Dog projects
Red Dog, our community arm, has started development work on three projects; working with ethnic and local communities on oral histories, after school filmmaking clubs in North Kesteven and disabled sports activities in Lincoln.

The partners are ready, the bids are in, now we wait to see if we can get project funding.

12.07.08 Threads feature announced
We are going into production of our first feature film. ‘Threads’ will go into production in the winter. We will be posting regular making of featurettes on this web site over the forthcoming months. Go to the shop to see about our efforts to fundraise.
